REJECTED NICKELODEON GAGS
actually, i DID do some work from them that WASN'T rejected ( a 2-page strip), and that'll get printed one of these days, but i also sent along a couple of gags...i was really happy with these, and was convinced of the pure LAFF potential.
have a look:
now that one's ok and all, but THIS one: pure genius.
HAW HAW!!
i was told that not only were these unusable, but that i should refrain from coming up with more gags until i figured out what was appropriate to 10 year olds.

Didn't Nick used to show this one claymation interstitial about a kid that swung so high he went around the swingset and turned his skin inside out and did mundane activities like to go school and walk his dog? Those were great!
So, why wasn't the last one at least not acceptable?
"too gross".
i would like to state for the record though, that the editor who rejected these is totally GREAT (and i'm not just being a kiss- ass...)
and, yeah; my boy is watching Spongebob as i write this, and it is gross and , frankly, completely awesome.
Those are great! I really like the first one, but I can see why they rejected it. Just too weird for that age group, or any age group for that matter. I want the original art of it so bad.
really? 'cuz i'll sell it to you for $50.
did that sound crass? i didn't mean it to be...
Not crass at all, Zak. I would buy it but I don't have 50 bucks and I'm a little paranoid about e-mail purchases. I'd try to get it if you put it on eBay
By the way, why is the first one ripped?
That editor should be banned from editing! He should instead have to read about things he rejected on the internet!
And then post about reading those things.
By the way, this editor. Is he handsome?
the first one is ripped because I AM SUCH A BADASS.
(no, actually...i don't know why it's ripped; i think it was just a "rough").
and i heard that editor is a STONE COLD FOX.
that's what i heard.
the other day.
from someone.
Hey, did you sign that last one "Uncle Sally"? Look at it...
